I have 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi networks. Does this affect the working of eWeLink supported devices?

You are here:

eWeLink supported devices do mostly work on 2.4 GHz networks (802.11 b/g/n, WiFi 4). Nowadays a lot of accesspoints combine 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio to improve the speed and stability of the network but it can lead to issues when trying to pair an eWeLink supported device to it.

When you are able to do so it is advisable to temporarily disable the 5 GHz network or be assured that you are connected only to the 2.4 GHz network while pairing the eWeLink supported device. After pairing and re-enabling the 5 GHz network most times the eWeLink supported devices do work communicate correctly with the 2.4 GHz part of your WiFi network.

For an in-depth explanation of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi networks and an in-depth explanation how this affects pairing eWeLink capable devices and their working after pairing please see this help article of eWeLink: https://help.ewelink.cc/hc/en-us/articles/360038256611-Pairing-failed-Read-this-before-you-try-again
