Welcome to the updated eWeLink community website! It took some time and effort to set up this new website but as you can see we have set up a nice website with quite some improvements. Many thanks to all active previewers who provided feedback. Special thanks to Satyam who helped setting up the legal documents (although we are both no experts).
To celebrate the new website we will organize a giveaway together with Sonoff! The giveaway is not ready yet but will start very soon! Follow us on Facebook (@ewlcommunity) or Twitter (@ewlcommunity) or subscribe to our RSS newsfeed to stay notified about the giveaway! Also follow Sonoff on Facebook to stay notified about great new products (like the awesome Sonoff PIR3-RF) and giveaways of Sonoff!
Later on this year we will organize a giveaway in co-operation with eWeLink and so we don’t stick just to 1 giveaway! We would recomment to start following them too on Facebook (@ewelink.support) and Twitter (@ewelinkapp)!
What is the eWeLink community website?
The eWeLink community website is a website build and maintained by Jeroen Maathuis (aka Joennuh) from The Netherlands.
At the beginning Joennuh and NeoMod (from Italy) discovered many repeating questions on the official eWeLink Telegram channel and the eWeLink & Sonoff User Group on Facebook while helping out fellow community members. Something that can be prevented with a good Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. Although eWeLink did have some documentation, it did not include the answers to all questions. And some of the questions and/or answers are community driven and/or DIY: Questions you wouldn’t expect eWeLink to reply on since it is not their core business. The same goes for eWeLink supported devices like Sonoff devices.
NeoMod came up with the idea for a FAQ but Joennuh thought about other recurring issues too what a general website could resolve. Like having an overview of which devices support eWeLink and where to buy them. Such a website didn’t exist already. Now the idea of an eWeLink community website was born.
Unfurtonately NeoMod is a medic in Italy who is to busy helping people fighting Covid-19. Even so busy that Joennuh isn’t able to reach him on social media for a long time. Joennuh decided to maintain the website on his own. NeoMod can hook up later when he does have enough spare time to do it. And maybe other people are invited to help too.

What are the improvements?
To many. But really! To Many. But here are some highlights:
- Device lists with brands, many searchable / groupable attributes, room to leave reviews (requires an account), etc. And ofcourse you can search for devices on the device lists and find links to webshops where to buy the devices. You can also write your own small reviews (account required, sign up here).
- Find news about eWeLink and eWeLink supported devices. You can reply on news articles which requires to have an account (sign up here).
- The FAQ, Beta information page, translation information page and tutorials section all have been migrated into a single Knowledge Base with categories.
- Better overview of the current releases of the eWeLink app and the changelogs of it on the App Releases pages.
- “My account” section to manage your account and message each other. Register an account by signing up here!
- Great search features.
- Easier sharing features.
- And many more!
You can find the latest changelogs of the website at Website changelogs.
Are there any future plans?
We plan to start a review section. And since so many people have different electrical situations and we can’t test all kind of devices (if we had the money for it at all) we want to invite others to write more extended reviews as well. If you want to help us out you can contact us on our contact form or on Facebook Messenger (@ewlcommunity) (not for support!).
Is there any help needed?
We expect to grow in the future and might need some helping hands in moderation, writing articles, writing reviews, adding devices to the device lists, etc. We continously look atvarious official and unofficial eWeLink resources for good, friendly and helpful people who get out attention in a positive way and ask them whether they are willing to help. However: If you think you can help us too please let us know on our contact form!
Do eWeLink and the manufacturers have something to do with the eWeLink community website?
No, they don’t. This website is completely maintained by enthusiast eWeLink users who like to gain and share their knowledge with fellow community members. Although we live in good harmony with eWeLink and Sonoff they are not directly associated with this website. The hosting of this website is provided for free by Ghiyath, who also cares about the eWeLink community. We even had a serious proposal of another fellow community member. Many thanks for the proposals!
More information about our relation with eWeLink and manufacturers of eWeLink supported devices can be found at our Disclaimer.
Website not fully completed yet
You may still miss some parts you have seen on the old website https://sites.google.com/view/ewelinkcommunity. While building the website we have focused on migrating the complete FAQ to the new Knowledge Base, the layout of the new website and to add as many as current new devices to the device lists as we could. Some devices on the old website are not available to buy anymore and some still has to be migrated.
Feel free to leave a comment below or use our contact form if you believe something is wrong, missing, incomplete, etc. Or if you want to leave a compliment. Or anything else. Please be aware that the purpose of this website is not to provide complete support. Although we sometimes can’t hold back to provide some support. The main sources of support are the Knowledge Base and several social media we are active on as described in this Knowledge Base article: Are there any usefull unofficial online resources for eWeLink?
