eWeLink has a LAN mode feature. LAN is an abbreviation for Local Area Network. The name “LAN mode” implies that you can still use the eWeLink app to locally control your eWeLink supported devices when there is no active internet connection. In practice this is often not the case.
eWeLink needs some more information about the issues and we offered them help to investigate this topic with a survey.
Although eWeLink told they only need the brand and models of the routers / accesspoints involved in LAN mode issues we as eWeLink community website wanted to know some more background information. That’s why we ask for a bit more information. So whether you often use the LAN mode feature or not: your help is still appreciated!
In the end we will create an article about the results and share the raw results with eWeLink.
