Firmware upgrades fails at 90% all the time. How can I resolve that?

Most times when this issue happens the update server is just busy and it is best to try updating again at a later moment. Try different moments of the day (e.g. morning, afternoon , evening).

When the firmware upgrades keep on failing and eWeLink and Sonoff did not report any issues or investigation you can follow these steps written by eWeLink Telegram group member @mousehunt:

  1. Force kill eWeLink app .
  2. Open eWeLink app.
  3. Directly press the switch u wan to update (do not press anything else).
  4. Update (do not press anything else).
  5. Wait for success.
  6. Repeat step 1 for another switch.
